Hi everyone thank you for taking a minute to read my story and why i am fundraising for this charity.

I will be running the great north half marathon run in memory of Darren and Rylee has also entered the junior mini great tees run to help raise money for sads uk.

 In September 2011 our family was torn apart with the devastating news that our brother/uncle  had passed away. His heart just stopped while paint-balling in Messingham and due to no defibrillator on site there was nothing that could be done to save Darren despite the constant CPR that was given by his friends until the paramedics arrived. If a defibrillator was available then a chance of survival may of been possible. With this is mind we have fund raised over the last 6 years to place defibrillators in schools around our local area, one in Darren's daughters school and another in a family friends nieces school our aim is to place them further a field in surroundings towns and village schools to be there if ever needed by children or staff. The cost of the defibrillators are £1100 this includes to place the defibrillator and all necessary training.
