Vicki's Beachy Head Marathon for The Marsden page

LLHM · 2 April 2023
The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity raises money solely to support The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre. We ensure our nurses, doctors and research teams can provide the very best care and develop life-saving treatments, which are used across the UK and around the world. From funding state-of-the-art equipment and groundbreaking research, to creating the very best patient environments, we will never stop looking for ways to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.
With the heaviest of hearts, I am having to update my just giving page. My daughters partner, in our eyes husband, as they had hoped to get married, Luke, passed away on the 03/08/23.
Luke was diagnosed with Leukaemia in 2020 and had been receiving the most amazing care and treatment from The Marsden. I would love to raise as much money as possible to help this charity and in memory of the bravest, kindest most beautiful boy. He is loved beyond words, especially by my daughter, and so I am running for her too and Luke’s family.
As I have said before, throughout Luke’s illness, , I never heard him complain, his fantastic sense of humour never diminished and will he always be an inspiration to me.
The Marsden supported Luke and his family and my daughter Bella since 2020. The team within the Teenage wing of the Marsden do such amazing work.
I will be running in the Beachy head Marathon in October and I would be really grateful to any money you donate for this wonderful charity. (I appreciate most of my friends have already donated in the past, but am putting this out there anyway, even if you can just share)
