Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running the first ever Brighton Marathon for the Guide Dogs for the Blind as my Grandma is partially sighted and although she doesn't need a Guide Dog I know what a struggle it can be for her. Oh and before anyone asks yes it is 26 miles!!!!

I am not sure why I thought I would be able to do this but I have started training and completed a 10 mile race in 1hr 37mins which I never thought I would be able to do so whose to say I can't do 26 miles!!!!

This charity gives people less fortunate than ourselves the opportunity to lead a more normal life and I personally could not imagine living in a world of darkness.

This charity breeds and trains the dogs which is costly and the Guide Dog service is entirely dependant on voluntary donations.

This is a personal challenge for me and it is good that I am able to raise funds for such a worthy charity as I do it. If you are able to sponsor me it would be much appreciated as every little helps.

Thanks Vicki xx

The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.
