Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
The Cynthia Spenser hospice is a purpose-built 20 bedded unit, designed to the highest standards for patient care. The team of specialist doctors, nurses and therapists based at the hospice provide a comprehensive service for mainly cancer patients, and their families, for who cure may no longer be possible. The hospice is mainly funded by the NHS. However, this year, to maintain an exceptional quality of care they have to raise an extra £704,000 through charitable donations and fund raising activities. Money raised this way is used to employ staff for the benefit of patients and to provide equipment and comforts to make their stay as comfortable as possible.
Nearly nine years ago I, and many of you who are reading this, lost someone very special through cancer. The Cynthia Spenser hospice provided a remarkable amount of care to Sheila but also significant support to the rest of the family through what was an incredibly sad time. She was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandparent and friend to many, who had a thirst for life and to honour her memory and help give something back to Cynthia Spenser hospice I will be running in the Brighton marathon on the 15 April. Please please help me to help them by sponsoring what you can, no amount is too small. Thank you xx
