This year running the London Marathon has a very special meaning for me as I am trying to raise money for Ashgate Hospice where my friend Sarah Dewhurst died in February this year. She was 38 years old and had been diagnosed with cancer just eight weeks before she died. The care she and her family received at Ashgate Hospice made her tragic death just a little less painful.

As I'm sure you know, hospices rely entirely on charitable donations to provide essential care when it is most needed so please give a little to help them continue their excellent work.
