Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page - we are putting our BEST FEET FORWARD again this year.
Cancer is Cruel and touches most of our lives and we lost our Dad almost 14 years ago - had this treatment been available then the story may have
been different....
A friend of mine's brother lost his life to cancer and this charity was set up in his name to help create awareness of the amazing cyber knife treatment that gave him another chance at life and extra quality time to spend with his family. Stan had to travel to America for his treatment as it wasn't available in the UK.
This year the charity want to cover the distance of the earth's equator and to washing DC where 'Stan" received his treatment. So together many volunteers we are looking to clock up 27,588 (human powered) miles in 18 days to pay tribute to this charity.
Together with my sisters, we are looking to contribute 200 miles between us - running or walking.
The Stan Bowley Trust: raising funds for cancer radiotherapy treatment.
contributor towards the fundraising that purchased the first CyberKnife machine, and supporting the clinical trials that have
and now helped head, neck and some other cancers on the NHS. CyberKnife can treat far more, so the clinical
trials continue and The Stan Bowley Trust stands firm in their support of the QE Hospital and the fantastic work they do.
