Patrick and I walked our very first Moonwalk last year in memory of Joanne, my brave cousin who lost her fight to Breast Cancer in Oct 07. Then In May 08 we also lost Pat's Mom, Athele, to another type of this evil disease. Improvements in cancer care have improved dramatically over the years as a direct result of the generosity of everyone donating to Cancer Charities. So lets help them keep up the good work. If this evil illness can strike our family twice within a year, it could happen to anyone.

On a personal note, I think I must be mad - Think the Moonwalk is like childbirth and I have forgotton the pain of last year during those last 5 miles!!(funny I remembered as I hit submit on my online application  )  and just remember the extreme high of finishing - plus all health and fitness has gone out the window since last years Moonwalk, so this is a perfect excuse to get off lazy butt and start training again

So, sorry to fleece you all for pennies again, but c'mon guys lets beat this killer disease once and for all!! Just a pound will do - I know myself when you go on these pages, you always feel pressure to never give the lowest donation - so please please I will be offended if I don't get any £1's - we are in a recession and all  of course if you can afford more thats cool too
