Story
These are difficult times and despite most of us having the opportunity to self-isolate in the comfort of our homes, there are some that don’t even have that basic luxury.
Every day, Single Homeless Project works with people who would otherwise have nowhere else to turn. Often that means being there for people at a critical time, whether to ... - prevent their eviction or help them off the streets - get them into drug or alcohol treatment- support them with their mental health, or - help them find a job and a flat so that they can take the first steps towards living on their own. The coronavirus outbreak presents particular risk to the homeless and vulnerable people SHP supports. Many have long-term physical health conditions and/or compromised immune systems, meaning they are at severe risk of harm should they contract the virus. Our work is needed now more than ever.
