We wanted to take part in the sparkle walk for many
reasons. We know how difficult it has been for Ashgate Hospicecare to raise funds during the pandemic, so it is important to step up as a business, get behind the charity and raise money whilst having fun. Also we at Vertu Toyota Chesterfield are taking over as the main sponsor for the Sparkle Night Walk for 2021 and 2022. We wanted to show our early commitment to our chosen local charity before embarking on what will be, such an exciting two years ahead.
Dressing as Pink Flamingo's seemed in order to keep to the Sparkle colour theme so our team name 'Toyota's Flamin Go' is very apt for our business. As Vertu Toyota Chesterfield we have 20 colleagues ( including members of the Ashgate team ), all taking part in a 10 mile ( 16km ) walk on 19^th September 2020, starting from our car showroom on Lockoford Lane, up to Cutthorpe where we have been offered chip butties at the Peacock pub, down through to Linacre Woods, through Old Brampton, stopping at the Hospice, then down to our final destination being the Brittania Pub in Brampton where the landlord, Jonny Wray, also a huge Ashgate Hospice fundraiser, has offered us a  special celebratory destination party. Please help us raise our target figure of £4000 for Ashgate Hospicecare.
