Starting this fall, I am going to be a Jesuit Volunteer (JV) with LUCY Outreach's afterschool program in Camden, NJ. I am so excited to get to work with the youth at LUCY, to build relationships with them and help provide them with the academic resources they need to succeed!

I first learned about the Jesuit Volunteer Corps (JVC) through a recommendation from a mentor of mine at Valpo when I mentioned my interest in service. As I started looking into the program, I was really drawn to how intentional JVC is about their values and in providing a setting where the JVs will be both challenged and supported in their growth. I want to develop those values of service, spirituality, simple living, and community in my life, and I'm so enthusiastic about working with a program that allows me to serve with a great organization while fostering that kind of growth.
