On 27th June it will be 25 yrs since I got the fluey virus that became severe ME. But I was lucky - I did have good life experiences first, unlike the many before and since who got ME as youngsters and remain ill, as there is still no treatment or cure. 

Biomedical ME research, grossly underfunded worldwide for decades and reliant on private donations, has discovered physical abnormalities in ME, but more funds are desperately needed so donations are the best birthday gift. 

An estimated 10% of LongCovid patients will go on to develop ME (often called ME/CFS).
