Story
Following completing this run in 2019, Kieran is being joined by his youngest brother, Nate on the Pilgrims' Santa Run with their dad this year.
Nate has never run 5k before and Kieran hasn't done so for over 6 months, but both are determined to run this full course and to help raise funds for the Pilgrims Hospices in memory of their 'Nanny in the stars'. Despite Nate having the misfortune of having never met his nanny, he wants to do this for her and to support the hospice, whom looked after her with such fantastic care in those horrible 7 weeks in 2013 between her diagnosis and passing.
Did you know...- £1 could pay for a patient to enjoy a mince pie and custard in the run up to Christmas- £10 could pay for a patients Christmas dinner- £30 could pay for 2 complimentary therapy sessions for a patient, to give them a distraction from their illness, and the opportunity to relax over the festive season. - £45 could help a Pilgrims counsellor provide a 1-1 session with someone struggling to cope with their first Christmas without a loved one. - £100 could allow our community nurses to continue making home visits to our patients that wish to spend their Christmas at home with family and friends. Thank you so much for visiting my JustGiving page and donating to help Pilgrims deliver skilled and compassionate end-of-life care, free of charge, to thousands of people in east Kent every year. Your support is appreciated and so important, thank you.
