It may come to a shock to most of you that Iain and I are running the Glasgow Half Marathon this September 5th...well not so much Iain, but me for sure!

We have been training hard for the past few months, decided it would be a great opportunity to get fit and also raise awareness of an amazing charity - the NSPCC and Childline.

Childline is the Uk's free, confidential 24-hour helpline for children and young people. Every day more than 4500 children call Childline. Sadly, due to lack of funds only 2500 of these calls get through.

Childline online services launched last year which means that there is now more support out there for children in need. The money that we can raise by running in September will go towards funding this service so that volunteer counsellors can answer more calls and online contacts from children and young people, communicating with young people the way they feel most comfortable with.

This is such a rewarding charity, and we are both very proud to be running for such a great cause. Please help us collect as much sponsorship as possible and we'll do the hard bit :-)
