Story
On Sunday October 8th, I am running the Royal Parks Half Marathon in memory of my brother Christos Karatzenis, who passed away in 2020 fighting pancreatic cancer as well as other friends and family who suffered and had to fight this cruel disease.
Supporting and Donating to Cancer Research can make a difference and save many lives in the future.
Cris Cancer Foundation is an international charity that funds cutting-edge research into pioneering new cancer treatments to give people the best chance of survival. Cancer is one of the leading causes of death in the world. Yet, many lives could be saved if scientists had the resources they need to carry out research into pioneering new treatments. They give scientists in the UK, Spain and France the support and funds to accelerate the discovery of cancer treatments for adults and children.
Over the last 12 years, they have given £36 million to research bodies such as The Institute of Cancer Research, so they can carry out vital research into cancer treatments. They have pledged to invest another £51 million over the next five years to save more lives.
