Story

Team V and the Road to Mordor

Team Vascular at the Royal Cornwall Hospital are travelling the distance from the Shire to Mordor, 1815 miles, to raise awareness of amputation whilst fundraising to support the rehabilitation of patients undergoing major limb amputation.

We will even be in costume!

Walking, running and cycling the distance.

The first 145 miles covers the Shire to the Prancing Pony
in Bree.

From there we will travel another 300 miles to Rivendell to
seek out the king of the elves. Carrying on to cross the misty mountains. After
680 miles we will reach the mines of Moria.

We will then brave the 40 miles of darkness of the mines of
Moria (night walking).

Once we escape the darkness we will continue, through the
forest realm of Lórien then the dead marshes to reach the Black gate.

From there, the final leg of our journey, to Mount Doom can
begin….

Will we make it? With your help and support we have no
doubt we will!
