Story
A huge THANK YOU to each of you for supporting Honeypot and myself - we have raised over £7,000 for Honeypot and this will make a difference to a lot of little lives.
I am truly humbled by the support, encouragement and generosity of my friends and colleagues. I successfully completed the 26.2 miles in lovely London spring sunshine. A special thank you to those who cheered me along the course, seeing you have me an incredible boost !
Thank you ! xx

Dear All
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. As some of you are aware, I am going to attempt the London Marathon in 2009 and at the same time, raise funds for my favourite charity Honeypot. Honeypot Charity is for those children in the UK that don't have the parental support and care most of us have and at times are the primary carer of a parent or sibling. One of the key features of the charity is the Honeypot House in the New Forest where the children can stay and play for a week and weekend respite break - and be children.
Here is a link to Honeypot's website so you can see the wonderful support they provide : http://www.honeypot.co.uk/. An indication of how your donation helps:
£3,600 supports 12 children for a return weekend break
£750 supports a child for a year
£500 pays for one child's first-time respite break at Honeypot House
£300 pays for a child's weekend return break at Honeypot House
£90 covers 3 visits from the Honeypot Playbus to a child's local community in one year
In the meantime, lots of training for me !
Thank you once again,
Vanessa xx
