Story
I am really disturbed by homelessness, it makes me feel uneasy walking past lives lived on pavements. It's a very sad reflection of our "society" and how we have learnt to be de-sensitised to homelessness.
Our safety net is in tatters and far too many find themselves with no place to turn. Feeling uneasy or saddened by homelessness doesn't change anything so I hope to help the amazing work Julian House does and if you can too, that would be wonderful. Thank you.
Julian House needs your help to rebuild lives this year. The last year has made many of us feel vulnerable, but for the people we support this is nothing new. Even before COVID-19 arrived most of the people in our care were vulnerable and often isolated from mainstream society. The pandemic made their situation even more stressful and, in many cases, riskier. This was especially true for those without a home, experiencing domestic abuse, struggling with addiction and/or mental health issues. The pandemic has also had a devastating effect on Julian Houses voluntary income at a time when the demand for our services has increased. With fundraising events being cancelled and our charity shops and bike workshops having to close temporarily, our voluntary income as taken a significant blow. Vital voluntary income needed to fund our life-saving services. Your support can help rebuild more lives. Please donate today
