Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
At the start of this year I decided to set myself a new challenge and having heard about the Cops30Miler from my time in Northumbria, I felt that this was the perfect challenge but also a great opportunity to raise some money for a fantastic charity.
I have been a police officer now for over 24 years and during that time have had amazing times but also seen a fair amount of tragedy and heartache.
No one should ever go to work and not return, but sadly that can be the reality of being a police officer. The charity Care of Police Survivors (otherwise known as COPS) is a UK registered charity dedicated to helping the families of police officers who have lost their lives whilst on duty. They aim to ensure that survivors have all the help they need to cope with such a tragedy, and that they remain part of the police family as they rebuild their lives.
There is no doubt this is going to be the hardest physical challenge I have ever attempted. I have had amazing support from many people, but special thanks goes to Katie Brooke, who is not only helping me train but has signed up for the event herself!
If you could support me in any way that would be brilliant! I'd better get out training now!
