Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This year I turn 50 (!) and I wanted to do something memorable and raise money for a cause close to my heart... so I'm taking part in the Trek Sahara challenge to support East Cheshire Hospice. So in November 22 I will be trekking 50km in the Sahara, sleeping out under the stars and also helping out a community project in Marrakech.
I love walking, usually with Amber, but this will be a big challenge - it will be hot and sandy! Not my usual walking terrain or conditions!
Those that know me will know that my mum has battled Brain Cancer for 14 years now. She has undergone surgery, cancer treatments and life is pretty tough for her and my Dad, who is her primary carer.
East Cheshire Hospice have provided much needed support both in the early days of her treatment and now as her needs are more demanding. They are kind, supportive and make such a difference to my parents. All of their work is supported by donations and fundraising. I would be so grateful if you could support me with any amount as I attempt to raise in excess of £2k, it will make a huge difference to the lives of many people.
