Story

BREAKING NEWS>>>>!!!! EVERYTHING HURTS  !!!!  Well, I did it!  Sheer bloody-mindedness carried me through 26.2 miles in 4hrs 26 mins and 55 sec. I managed to achieve my own personal goal of NOT WALKING and I am so relieved it is all over.  Thank you all so much for the sponsorship - really helped me through the last 6 hellish miles.  If you're thinking about doing it, go for it - it's an amazing expereince.  I'll come and watch! Thanks again. VXXXXXXXX

So, me and the marathon, unlikely bedfellows (although some would say this is not an unusual state of affairs...).  Contrary to popular belief, I am not being sponsored by B+H or Bollinger. But I have been inspired to stop smoking and start training to raise cash for a local hospice that does incredible work with people at the end of their lives, and their families.

So please give generously.  The hospice now has no choice but to rely on 'The Big Society'.  I will therefore even accept support and donations from Tories and Lib Dems.....
