That photo up there is of my mum, Helen, who sadly passed away in 2009 at 52 after battling cancer. She was an amazing woman and a real inspiration. 

I'm currently trying to get myself fit and lose weight, and there's no better way to do that than to give myself a goal. So I plan to complete the Race for Life, so that I can help other people while I help myself. 

Cancer took my mum from me and I want to be a part of the fight to stop it doing the same to other people.
