My dear friend Stella and I will be running the Bupa Great North Run on 18th September in memory of our Daddys. As you know I lost my wonderful Dad to Bowel Cancer in January 2007.  Dad spent some time at the Marie Curie Hospice in Edinburgh and their Nurses also came to the house and cared for him during his final weeks.  I will always be indebted to them for their care and compassion during that time.  I am sure that most of my friends will, unfortuntately, have had someone they care about face this terrible illness and without specialist nurses like those at Marie Curie we would be lost. 

I hope that you can spare a few wee pennies to contribute to such an worthwhile cause and allow more families to benefit from the amazing care that Marie Curie provides.  Thanks everyone x
