Over the next few weeks, Faith and I have decided to take up this challenge to support Claire House and raise much needed funds.  This children’s hospice has always been close to our hearts as they provide such a valuable service to our community and rely on fundraising to cover 80% of their running costs.  Claire House and other charitable organisations  are finding it almost impossible to fund raise during these difficult and unprecedented times, due to social distancing, so we are going to virtually climb Snowden, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis a combined total of 22,110 steps. Did you know that £16.78 could provide an hour of one to one care for a seriously ill child or young person?  £37 could allow a counsellor to deliver a private counselling session over Skype or Zoom, providing much needed support to a parent or sibling from the comfort of their own home. £102 could provide a full day of Butterfly support for a bereaved family, allowing them time to say goodbye whilst receiving full support from Claire House staff. Every donation will help Claire House to be there for families when they need us the most, so please support us if you can.
