My Story: It is nearly four years since I was told that I had cancer and may only have months to live. I was then referred to The Royal Marsden where in 2017 I underwent two successful major operations. I was told in December 2018 that I had developed two more tumours and in the January was offered a place on an Immunotherapy Trial by the late Professor Gore which I readily accepted. Professor Gore sadly passed away a week later. The treatment is ongoing even though the tumours have shrunk considerably and so far there is no new disease. The care I receive is incredible. Please help me to raise funds towards the building of the Oak Cancer Centre which will enable The Royal Marsden to develop and extend life-saving treatments to many many more people. A note from The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity raises money solely to support The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre. We ensure our nurses, doctors and research teams can provide the very best care and develop life-saving treatments, which are used across the UK and around the world. From funding state-of-the-art equipment and groundbreaking research, to creating the very best patient environments, we will never stop looking for ways to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.
