Story
Thank you for taking out time to visit our wedding fundraising page online.
We have been together since 1998 (Gosh, nearly 10 years) and have two children so the idea of getting married seems a bit of a formality but we want to do it.
Those of you that know us very well will know that shortly after we got engaged, Val fell pregnant and we postponed all wedding plans post childbirth. Unfortunately for us Odi's birth proved just a little bit more complex than planned! :-))
Eventually diagnosed with celebral palsy (quadriplegia - which means effectively one of the severest forms of CP) we had no choice but to shelve all serious plans whilst we cared for him.
Throughout some very difficult times we were very well supported by number of charities of which Richard House was one.
As we got started making plans for our big day we wondered what we would like on our gift list. Well we reckoned that since we'd been blessed with so much, we would like to keep supporting the fantastic work being done at Richard House. It is a fabulous children's hospice in East London but like all charities can do with as much support as possible.
So we have created this fundraising page for our friends, family and colleagues who are happy to do a good cause for charity. We will accept all you give as a gift to us.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support us: Richard House Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
You can also give us a cheque (Payable to RICHARD HOUSE) towards this if you prefer - either by post (38 Cornwallis Road, London SE18 6SF), in person or on the wedding day.
Many thanks for your support.
Val and Paddy
