Story
my mum fought breast cancer & still fights through the physical & emotional after effects every day. A challenge that my mum, along with a world of other men, women & children did not have any choice but to face - the gruelling fight against cancer.. Cancer Research UK are tireless in aiming to reduce the number of people affected by this indiscriminate, formidable opponent. I have chosen to commit to the Ultra White Collar Boxing 8 week training course & to take part in a Black Tie UWCB Event later this year boxing against a fairly matched opponent - this is a massive challenge for me to get match fit, learn to box & to raise as much money as possible so that people like you, me, the mum, the baby next door, the elderly gent on the street, the father, the son, the daughter, the friend & as many people as possible can benefit from the work that Cancer Research UK can & will continue to do if they have enough money to do it with. My challenge for me is tough but it fades into comparison when you know the challenge cancer brings to so, so many. Even if the sport of boxing does not appeal to you, please take on board the end result of this UK wide effort to fundraise for everyday people & consider donating to my page- every donation much appreciated more than you know - Thank you for reading my story/appeal - Janie Jones xx
