Story
Thank you for visiting my UTA100 donation page.
About:
On Saturday 15th May 2021 I will be running the UTA100 through the Blue Mountains in Sydney Australia, with my two friends James Luty and Sam Powell to raise awareness and donations for Cure Cancer.
For those that have never heard of the UTA100, it is a 100km Ultra Trail run that takes around 16-24+ hours to complete (IF you are one of the people that actually manage to make it to the end). There is a huge 4,400m+ of elevation up and down the mountains, and at about 99kms with no legs remaining you find yourself at the bottom of 951 steps to reach the finish line! 🥴
We have never ran (or walked) anywhere near this distance before so it is safe to say we’re jumping straight in at the deep end, and facing a lot of pain and some extreme mental battles throughout both the training and the event.
Why We Are Doing It?
We've all been closely affected by this horrible disease at some point including losing close family members and seeing loved ones continue to suffer. We simply want to make these people proud and do so whilst raising awareness and donations to support the fight to finally Cure Cancer!
Thanks for taking the time to visit our page and we appreciate even the smallest of donations 🙏
