Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm raising awareness for the Be Kind movement's short film on Kindness called 'Itsy'
The film was inspired by a true incident between Be Kind Movement’s co-founder, Shavy Makh, and a small creature on his journey to work one summer. The film captures the touching human story that evolved between Shavy and the spider:
“A tiny spider had stirred something within an adult, and the kindness shown towards this vulnerable creature, inspired our charity to produce this short film”
For me, kindness can be anything from small acts such as smiling to a passerby just because (yes, I have occasionally been looked at weirdly for this!) to giving someone a little bit of change so they can pay for a parking ticket if they don't have enough money. If we all made an effort to partake in these small acts of kindness on a daily basis, I truly believe the environment we live and work in would be a better place where collectively we can build on values that allow us to tackle bigger issues such as ignorance and prejudice that stop us making bigger acts of kindness by showing compassion and understanding to those around us!
In the world's current climate this issue couldn't be closer to my heart!
For me, 'Itsy' comes at a time when we are all in dire need of re-evaluating our values and making sure we are kinder to those around us, with less judgement and more acceptance of our differences.
In my support of the Be Kind Movement and it's goals, I will be donating jewellery from Trousseau to their costume design department so they can dress their characters without stretching a limited budget.
What I am asking from YOU is a donation (however big or small) so that you can help me, help the movement spread it's act of kindness! (Think of it as missing a coffee or lunch as YOUR act of kindness! :P)
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity. Please don't forget to claim gift aid!
Much love (and Kindness!)
Urvi
