We organise disaster relief worldwide to be there for people in desperate need
Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Looking at the recent TV news bulletins of the devastation caused by the Earthquake in filled me with sadness. I felt I needed to make a donation, but my finances does not allow for the kind of contribution I would like to make and gave thought to how I could go about doing something to help. I am a Newham Volunteer, I enjoy jogging/walking and when I saw the event 'Newham 10km London Run', on 7th March 2010, I decided I would organise myself to raise sponsorship money that would add to what others have already completed.
Most of the people of did not have much to start with and with the Earthquake, they need assistance in every way to help rebuild their lives. There is a shortage of everything and I am asking for your sponsorship to raise money to purchase much needed items such as: water purifying tablets, bandages, medical equipment, Mosquito nets, bedding, tents and waterproof mattresses (the rainy season will arrive soon), food, clothing, and personal items for women, shoes and other items for children. I am sure you have seen the many films of people living/sleeping in the open and also the outdoor hospitals, all lacking resources. Just about everything that we who are more fortunate take for granted, is required. £1.00 will purchase quite a few basic items, so think what a little more will do.
Your contributions will go to the DEC Registered Charity No. 1062638 so you can be sure that your donation will go to good causes.
Donating on-line through to JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving. They will never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they will send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a taxpayer. So it is the most efficient way to donate – I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please did deep and donate now.
