Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. We know that requests for sponsorship come round all too often and hope that you do not mind us sending you yet another one. We have all entered the Moonwalk which is a 26.2 power walk through the streets of London setting off at about midnight on 15th May and wearing little more than our bras. We estimate that we will be walking flat out for about seven hours. The money raised will go to Walk the Walk, a charity funding a number of organisations helping women with breast cancer - the projects are numerous and diverse; from a scalp cooling project which enables women to keep their hair through treatment to scientific laboratories making real advances in the care offered to women diagnosed with breast cancer.
Whilst
this is not an Everest expedition it is not a stroll in the park either -
we expect to make sacrifices whether it be the loss of toe nails or
modesty and we will all lose sleep and be unable to walk for a week
afterwards. Inexplicably we will undertake this ordeal dressed as
small mammals so there will be a significant element of public humiliation!
The cause is good, the effort substantial and the opportunities to have a laugh at our expense legion ...
Many thanks - we promise to forward a rather less flattering photo of us taken on the night for your amusement!
