Story
After the success of the 24 hour marathon broadcast, the team have decided to take part in Raising and Giving Society’s Jailbreak event this March!
As of last year, RAG at Sussex have taken part in Jailbreak - a fundraising event where teams of 2 or more people join up with the challenge of getting the furthest away from our University as possible in 36 HOURS without spending any money. Teams set off at 10am on 2nd March!
Solmaz and Michael will be taking to the skies dressed as seagulls on the run - illegulls if you will. Please show your support and continue donating to the incredible RISE UK who support those affected by domestic abuse and violence in East Sussex.
It costs RISE £4567 to run their services everyday. £10 could pay for one helpline call. £20 could provide a child at refuge with a school uniform. £50 could pay for a counselling session. Any donation, big or small, will make a huge difference to so many people.

On 7th February, Nina and Solmaz hosted a 24 Hour Radio Broadcast to raise money for one of RAG's chosen charities - Rise UK who help those affected by domestic abuse and violence. Throughout the broadcast, Owen, the organiser of our creative writing and acoustic night fundraiser, and Michael, our on hand techie, stayed up alongside the hosts for a full 24hrs!
