Jocks Road trek for SafeNet · 4 April 2022

Safenet has kept over 20,000 women, men and children safe from further harm over the last 50 years, and we can be supporting 600 adults and 150 children throughout our services at any one time. We deliver safe Refuge accommodation & community based services across Lancashire & Greater Manchester.

Story

Urban will hike Jocks Road in Scotland with his best pal Mabel the Bedlington, his dad Paul & Uncle Robin.

Jocks Road is a highland pass which goes through the Cairngorm
National Park & is over 20 km long.

Urban will start at Glen Doll and climb to 3000 ft to cross over the
Mounth plateau before descending  into Glen Callater.
Then Urban & his party will continue to walk & finish at  the town of Braemar.

The walk will be in the first week of April & hopefully the snow
won't be to deep!!!

Urban is 9 years old & has been getting ready by doing walks near his home at the weekend.  Also he has been walking home from school every day.

Urban has walked nearly all of Jocks Road last year & is looking forward to completing the hike this time

Please support Urban by donating if your able to or by sharing his fundraiser
You will  be helping fund vital refuge services for families escaping domestic abuse
