Story

The University of Portsmouth Rugby Club is doing a 10km sponsored charity/fundraising event on February 14th 2013. The charity we have chosen to support is POTS UK as one of our active members currently suffers from this condition.

Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (P.O.T.S) is a rare condition of dysautonomia that presents itself in a variety of symptoms including; extreme fatigue, hypoperfusion of tissues, chest pain and discomfort, vomiting, fainting, seizures, muscle weakness among others. Exercise is a fundamental element to keeping healthy with P.O.T.S and UPRFC has demonstrated its willingness to encourage and support all members no matter the circumstances.

Half of all money raised will be donated to UPRFC itself as fundraising for the club’s efforts and to allow the club to continue efficiently.

All donations will be split equally between POTS UK and UPRFC and will be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks
