UPG are taking part in the Lichfield 10k event to help raise vital funds for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity. UPG's headquarters are located right in the centre of Lichfield so it is a perfect opportunity to support a local activity as well as a local charity. 

We have chosen to raise funds for Midlands Air Ambulance; a fantastic charity which saves lives all over the Midlands. Not only is the Midlands the heart of our HQ, it is also one of the busiest travel routes in the UK meaning many people at some point pass through the region, therefore, the reach of the Midlands Air Ambulance is vastly widened.

In April 2016, a member of our team experienced first-hand the extraordinary work this charity does; her fiancé was involved in a serious road traffic accident and had to be air lifted to hospital, he tributes his survival to their speedy response and expertise. 

The UPG team were hugely touched to hear their colleagues story and when the decision came about who to raise funds for, the Air Ambulance was the obvious first choice. To be able to continue their excellent work, they rely solely on donations as they receive no funding.
