#SaveChesterZoo Fundraising Event – 10th June 2020 We are heartbroken to hear the news of Chester Zoo's plight due to COVID-19 and want to support as best we can. Staff from across the University of Chester have come together to host a variety of activities on Wednesday 10th June 2020 (the date the zoo opened back in 1931!) All we ask is you make a donation to this page as your cost of attendance! Join in as many sessions as you like, and please invite your friends. Sessions will all be around 30 minutes long, just click the link to 'Join Microsoft Teams Meeting' to join your preferred session at the time detailed. For more information email volunteering@chester.ac.uk Unleash your wild side and join Lauren Tucker for an animal themed yoga session, incorporating poses named after animals! 10am - 'Sing and Sign' Zoo Themed Session - Join Microsoft Teams Meeting - For parents and children under 2 to join in with zoo themed songs and signs 11am - 'Zooniverse' Volunteering - Join Microsoft Teams Meeting - Join UoC Volunteering and help them identify animals virtually to support conservation efforts across the world! 12pm - Digital Climate Cafe - Join Microsoft Teams Meeting - Join the Sustainability Team to talk about conservation and sustainability at a special Climate Cafe! 1pm - Animal Instinct Exercise Class - Join Microsoft Teams Meeting - Suitable for all levels, the session will be 30 minutes (including warm up/cool down) so you still have time to eat in your lunch break! 2pm- Sunbear Shortbead Baking Class - Join Microsoft Teams Meeting - Learn how to make this delicious treats with ingredients from the Zoo's sustainable palm oil shopping list. 3pm – Animal Acoustic Session - Join Microsoft Teams Meeting - A live acoustic set from the fabulous Tom Gambino! Sit back, relax and listen to some great animal themed tracks! 4pm - Chester Zoo/ Animals Quiz - Join Microsoft Teams Meeting - Join us for a fun animal/zoo related quiz!
