We fund a network of expert research nurses to help save blood cancer patients' lives

Story

Cure Leukaemia helps blood cancer patients to access pioneering drug and transplant treatments by funding a network of specialist research nurses across the UK. Without these nurses, to ensure patients are monitored and cared for, clinical trials of these new treatments would not run and patients, that have exhausted standard treatment options, would miss out on potentially lifesaving therapies. Every penny raised for Cure Leukaemia helps save lives and also hastens global progress towards the eradication of all forms of blood cancer. On June 4th and 5th 2021, colleagues from the University of Worcester will be competing in teams in a 24 hour challenge to raise money for the University Charity of the Year. The challenge will include a 20 mile night walk, a 16 mile canoe, a 19 mile cross country run, a basketball game and a water course which teams will have to complete, the winning team will be the one who does it in the fastest time. 12 teams from the University will be taking part with the target of raising £900 per team. Good luck all!
