Story
Hi, I'm Jeremy Clines, coordinating chaplain at the University of Sheffield's Chaplaincy Centre. Thank you for taking part in the Carol Service, whenever and wherever you are watching it. You can add to our Carol Service collection and donate to our nominated local charity.
Every year at the university's Carol Service we choose a different local charity, we always highlight those projects committed to empowering vulnerable people, as we remember the vulnerability of children and adults in the Christmas story.
In choosing Roundabout, as our charity in 2020, it is all about tackling the unequal situation that young people can find themselves!
Roundabout is South Yorkshire's youth homeless charity. Every day, they provide shelter and support to over 250 young people in Sheffield who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
Our support, via donations at the University of Sheffield Carol Service will go a long way to changing the lives of some of the most vulnerable young people in Sheffield.
Roundabout's work is a lifeline for many and supports the young people they work with to prepare for a better future.
Thanks for coming to the Carol Service and considering donating today.
When you make a donation here on our giving page, there is a clear separate ask for how much to be charged, and you can pick 0%, so this website company does not take any of your donation as income, but it all goes to Roundabout. All funds raised will go to the local charity, Roundabout, automatically and directly.
