SpecialEffect means so much to so many people, their work to help
disabled people to experience a level playing-field when gaming is why we decided to get involved and raise funds and awareness for this amazing charity.

Our small group is made up of just normal everyday people, we are RuneScape and Old School RuneScape gamers and community is everything to us. So we felt, collectively, that we needed to make sure the game we all met through, made friends through and some built lifetime relations from, needed to be represented over the GameBlast weekend. We approached a few friends in the community, content creators, streamers and crafters, and asked for their help and the response has been phenomenal! Some of the biggest and brightest have shown their support, as well as new streamers and artists, all coming together under one banner for one weekend and one charity event, GameBlast! 

We are trying to cover the whole weekend with content and streams, and we have around 40 items going up for auction too, donated from right across the community.

We are hoping to raise money, of course we are, but what we have also found is the huge amount of love, support and help that you can get from a community, and some random things too (but they are surprises!). It’s shown a huge amount of emerging talent in the gaming community, from all corners and walks, and this just goes to show how much we care, and what we can achieve if we work together.
