Story
Babies in Gaza are slowly perishing under the world’s gaze. For pregnant women and newborns every day has become a fight for survival.
The babies of 5,500 women who are due to give birth in the next month in the Gaza Strip are at risk of dying, as their mothers do not have access to prenatal or postnatal check-ups because of bombings and need to flee for safety.
Anxiety is also leading to premature births, as reported by UNFPA
With each meal missed, the odds of a woman delivering an undernourished, undersized baby rise. New mothers are not getting enough food to nurse their newborns - who are often too weak to even cry. In Gaza, doctors report that newborns are dying because they weigh too little.
Life-threatening obstetric complications and premature births have soared since the outbreak of hostilities. The health system has been decimated: only two maternity hospitals remain; every functioning medical facility is overwhelmed with patients.
By sponsoring me, you could help UNICEF send a life-saving Midwifery Kit or Newborn Kit to Gaza. Together we can do something incredible, we can help UNICEF to save the lives of fragile, tiny newborns. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

My aim is to raise £2400. With £2400 UNICEF could
* Buy 8 Midwifery Kits, each containing all of the medicines, medical supplies and sterilisation equipment for a maternity ward to support the safe delivery of 50 babies
* Help to buy 2 Newborn Kits, each designed to use for approximately 50 newborns with health complications
Similarly, a donation of £25 could provide manual neonatal resuscitators for 2 full-term babies, preterm and low-weight infants.
For babies in Gaza, every minute counts.
