Story
Homelessness in Cambridge is huge. It's not so much a Big Issue as an overwhelmingly massive issue. On Saturday 8th May, from 4-6pm live on www.cur1350.co.uk, John, Ben and Em will be presenting a special edition of the Unholy Trinity to raise awareness. Joining them will be representatives from the Big Issue, local politicians, and volunteers, and you'll be able to join the discussion through a live phone-in.
In addition, they've set up this JustGiving page to raise money for one of the most incredible organisations in the entire city. Jimmy's Night Shelter provides frontline support to the homeless in Cambridge, providing them with a safe bed for the night, as well as a whole host of other help and advice. They'd love to be able to raise £150 from them - with an average listenership of 70 and a much larger listener base, I know we can surpass that.
If you need any other reason to part with just a little of your hard-earned cash, John, Em and Ben will be sleeping rough for a night, broadcasting the results on the show. If they can do that, I'm sure you can spare a couple of quid?
Additionally, if you make a donation of £5 or more, be sure to request a song - even if you want to keep your donation anonymous, just put the name of the song in the box for your name and optional message when you donate..
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate -we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
