Story
Salaam / Hi,
I’m sure many of you have seen the devastating footage /
images of the heartbreaking conditions the people of Yemen are living in. We all have been blessed with food of choice, clean water and more
(alhamdulillah). However, our brothers & sisters in Yemen are deprived. We should do what we can to help & answer their cry for help inshallah. Therefore, I have set up this fundraiser with Ummah Welfare Trust to raise money to provide food for the people of Yemen.
Please see below the Story of Yemen, May Allah s.w.t bring them ease.
Six years of devastating conflict have plunged Yemen into
one of the world's gravest humanitarian crises. Yemen has been in a civil war since 2011. The parliament collapsed by a military group and since then the destruction of the civilisation began. Not only this, but they are also fighting both the Corona & Cholera virus. To add to this the country is also on the brink of famine with food reserves of only a couple of months.
Nearly 90% of which had to be imported even before the conflict started, has been massively disrupted by the warring parties. Prices are continuing to rise, while many of the poorest people have lost their incomes. Now an estimated 24 million Yemenis, 70% of the population, are suffering from food insecurity and malnutrition, including 2 million + children.
24 Million - IN NEED OF HUMANITARIAN ASSISTANCE
20.1 Million - PEOPLE WHO ARE FOOD INSECURE
19.7 Million - IN DESPERATE NEED OF BASIC HEALTHCARE
17.8 Million - IN NEED OF WATER & SANITATION
3 Million - ACUTELY MALNOURISHED CHILDREN, PREGNANT OR
LACTATING WOMEN
3.3 Million - INTERNALLY DISPLACED PEOPLE
Please donate as much or as little as you can. All donations
will be made to feed families in Yemen.
£50 – can feed a family of 4 for approximately 3-4 weeks
Inshallah.
Let’s do all that we can and feed as many as we can
Inshallah. Together, lets answer their cry for help.
May Allah SWT accept all your donations and reward your
kindness and bring ease to their hardship, Ameen.
Your brother in humanity,
Umar
