Story
Every year ULWRFC give up alcohol on the run up to Varsity, both to prepare for the match and to raise money for charity. This year we have decided to raise money for the Matt Hampson Foundation which aims to provide advice, support, relief and/or treatment for anyone suffering
serious injury or disability which has arisen from any cause, but in
particular from participation in or training for any sport, sporting
activity or other form of physical education or recreation. The charity doesn't just just help by supplying material things, but also helps young people continue to live their lives to the full, because it could happen to anyone at any point in time.
As a sports team, we are aware of the risk involved in partaking in physical activities such as rugby and thus recognise the importance of this charity in providing help for those having suffered/suffering from serious injury or disability.
By giving to this campaign, you will help us stay motivated throughout the 4 weeks in which we will not be consuming any alcohol in order to help us prepare for Varsity both physically and mentally, but you will also be supporting a great and unique charity focused around rugby and disability.
Every little donation helps towards our aim. Even the simple act of sharing this page with your friends and family can help us reach our target.
