Story
Thank you so much for taking the time to hop on over to our fundraising page!
Our Adventure
We are running The Worlds Toughest Footrace in Jordan's Wadi Rum Desert. Over 5 days we will run 300km in 30 degree heat.
The Race
Stage 1: 40km (A warm up and acclimatisation to the beautiful desert).
Stage 2: 80km (straight in with a double marathon. This is usually the big day for most races of this calibre. Not this one!).
Stage 3: 50km (A "recovery day").
Stage 4: 100km (This will take us to another place mentally and spiritually. We will be running through the night with head torches and glow sticks attached to backpacks.)
Stage 5: 30km (with an afternoon start due to the previous animalistic leg, this stage will be a mixture of tears, agony and Utter euphoria - The end has arrived!
Our Aim
We are hoping to raise £20,000 for Alzheimer's Society. Both our Grandad's suffered from Alzheimer's and we want to do our bit to help conquer, what is in our opinion, the most destructive disease known to mankind.
Our Training
We will be running between 50 and 80 miles a week from now!
What you can do
Donating is easier than cracking open a pistachio. Our sponsors have guaranteed they will match what we raise so every little helps.
You can also be a legend and share our adventure with friends, families and strangers. Sharing online and off and through word of mouth will guarantee we reach our target!
In the words of a famous athlete: 'here's to the crazy ones'.
