I’m running The London to Brighton ultra marathon 100KM!!!! on 25th May 2024. I’m doing this for my nephew Sidney.

Sid was diagnosed at 4 months old with Spinal Muscular Atrophy(SMA) type 1. Sidney received Zolgensma on the NHS at 4.5 months old, he also received Spinraza on a medical trial in Barcelona for the last 2 years. This trial in now finished and he’s receiving Spinraza at The Evalina children’s hospital.

Sid continues to surprise everyone with his determination and fight!!! But none of this is possible without your help. We want to give Sid the life every child deserves.

We’re fundraising for:

HOUSE ADAPTATIONS: Sid will need a through floor lift fitted and a wet room.
SPECIALIST EQUIPMENT: Sid’s needs are forever changing and unfortunately the NHS do not fund for most of the equipment he needs for example.. orthotics(back brace), walkers, wheelchair etc
PHYSIOTHERAPY: Sid attends private physio multiple times a week and without this he would not be where he is today. He also attends intensive therapy courses throughout the year world wide. Approximately Sid’s physio bill for the year is £30k+
