Story

Thanks for clicking the link to get here...and now a bit about what I am doing.

I first stumbled across "Race to the Stones" in July 2021, when out for a bike ride on the Ridgeway, in Oxfordshire. I asked a couple of runners how far they were going and nearly fell off my bike when they said "100 km".
Anyhow, I got to thinking maybe I could do that...so I checked in with the boss who said "you are going to do it over the 2 days, aren't you?". Actually, no - I'm going to do it over 1 day. I reckon that if I did 50 km on the 1st day, I wouldn't be much use the next day to run another 50 km, which is why I decided to attempt the full 100 km in one go - hopefully, in less than 20 hours. The race starts in Lewknor and finishes in Avebury - which has its very own stone circle!

If you would like to sponsor my attempt, please read a bit about the charity, which will hopefully encourage you to donate generously! :-)
