Story
Hello there, my name is Jonathan and I am the Canine Behaviour Adviser at the Blue Cross Small Animal Adoption Centre in Northiam, East Sussex.
In September 2008 I plan to take a trip around the UK lasting 26 days with my Blue Cross Border Collie, Bob. We are going to tour the British isles in an attempt to find all those things that make this country worthy of the title Great Britain! We hope to raise some funds for the Blue Cross as well as have a lot of fun along the way.
Too many people spend so much time in other countries and granted they do have their own specific charms and appeal, but just how much do we know of our own country? It is also a chance to discover the dog friendly version of the UK and I shall be driving and camping my way right round!
My route begins from my home in Appledore, Kent and heads around the Norfolk Coast, through the Yorkshire Dales, across the border, up and over Scotland, down the west coastline into Wales, down and around Cornwall and Devon before the finishing straight along the South East coast of England.
I'm visiting so many places that there are just too many to list! So instead I have attached some photos of a few of my detinations. Just give each thumbnail a click to see the bigger picture. The photos I have used were not taken by me but I hope afterwards to have built my own library to share with you.
The Blue Cross helps people and animals everyday and provides practical support. So many animal's lives have been enriched at the Northiam Centre alone, so please dig deep and spare some of that loose change so the Blue Cross may carry on it's good work.
