On 7 May 2022 we're pulling on our boots and walking a marathon (26.2 miles/42km) along the river Thames, from Windsor to Henley. You can see our route in the pictures above, we estimate it'll take about 10 hours.

We're fortunate to have the freedom and safe surroundings to walk. So many fundamental aspects of daily life have been taken away from people in Ukraine.

Over 18 million people are expected to be impacted by the conflict. Millions have fled, leaving everything behind - including husbands, fathers, sons, homes, pets and more. 

The Disasters Emergency Committee is working with local partners in Ukraine and neighbouring countries to provide food, water, shelter and medical assistance.
