Aid to Ukrainians

We have all seen the devastating and heart-breaking scenes coming from the Ukraine in recent weeks. In times of crisis, the British Red Cross Society is there to help people. They are currently distributing food and hygiene parcels, warm clothing and training civilians in first aid. The following is a guide from the Red Cross to show what your donation could do:

£10 could provide a hygiene kit to a family of five, giving them supplies to stay healthy for a month.

£20 could provide five blankets to families taking shelter .

£33 could provide 40 chlorine tablets to ensure that families have access to clean, safe water.

£100 could provide sleeping mats for 66 people who have been forced from their homes.

£210 could provide a fully equipped first aid kit, including supplies, to a first aider treating those wounded.

The Giant Easter Egg

Baravelli's of Conwy have created a hand-painted giant Easter Egg, weighing a whopping 10kg. The design is inspired by the Ukrainian flag with fields of wheat and sunflowers in the foreground. The background is a bright blue, representing the sky, mountains and streams of the country. 

We are donating the egg with all proceeds going the Red Cross efforts. The draw will take place on the 19th of April 2022.
