Don those pointy ears and fasten your belt for an Elf Day to remember on 7 December. Dress up, get festive, and join us as we unite to beat dementia.

Story

This year, I thought it would be fun to take part in National Elf day.  Not only because it will be a bit of light hearted fun for staff and patients over the Christmas period but because it is also a fantastic charity to support. All of the departments within Radiology are taking part so there will be lots of Elves around the hospital on that day!

National Elf day is officially on the 7th December but that date can be changed to suit so we are doing it on the 6th December.

Around 800,000 people in the UK have dementia (a form of Alzheimer's), but many have not yet been diagnosed.  1 in 3 people over the age of 65 will develop dementia, so this is something most likely to affect every family at some point.

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.

Thanks in advance for your support
