We do #WhateverItTakes to to give every sick child the best chance

Story

UCD Science Society is one of the largest societies within UCD and Ireland, with currently 1350 members and growing. Our dedicated group of students strive to support the Children’s Health Foundation (CHF), in particular Our Lady’s Hospital Dublin.

We host large scale events annually such as Science Day, where events take place such as:

- Jock walk(students walk around wearing a lab coat and underwear and not much else) collecting money for CHF

- Pi the Lecturer, this very popular where lecturers volunteer to get pi-ed by students in exchange for donating to charity

- Moly Mod building competition with ChemSoc- students are challenged to build chemical structures in the shortest amount of time

-Liquid Nitrogen with PhysSoc - students are trained to make liquid nitrogen ice cream paid for by donations to our selected charity.

- Petting Zoo- where we organise to get petting zoo into one of the labs where entry is charged that goes to CHF.

Also we have our annual ball, SciBall where ALL profits are donated to Children’s Health Foundation Crumlin.
